Itinerary

Wat Mai in Luang Prabang

Activities: Arrive in Luang Prabang and balance the day at leisure.

Upon arrival at Luang Prabang Airport, you will be met by our guide and driver who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Check-in is typically at 14:00, but early check-in may be possible upon request and availability (a surcharge might apply).

Then, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the charming city of Luang Prabang on your own. This tranquil city in North Central Laos is known for its serene atmosphere and rich cultural heritage.

Boat Trip to Pak Ou caves

Activities: Explore the highlights of Luang Prabang such as Vat Xieng Thong, Wat Visoun, Wat Mai, visit Pak Ou Caves.

Optional: 5:00 AM – Tak Bat Ceremony (additional cost).

Begin your day with an optional early morning Tak Bat Ceremony, a traditional alms-giving ritual where monks collect food from locals. This unique experience offers a profound glimpse into Laotian culture.

After breakfast, you will take on a tour of Luang Prabang’s most revered temples: Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Visoun, and Wat Mai. Then, take a scenic boat ride along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, renowned for their thousands of Buddha statues.

Along the way, tourists can visit riverside villages like Ban Xang Hai to learn about traditional Lao Whisky production, and Ban Xangkhong, famous for its handwoven textiles.

Return to Luang Prabang and enjoy an overnight stay.

Kuang Si Waterfalls

Activities: Explore highlights of Luang Prabang as the National Museum, explore Kuang Si Falls and take a flight to Vientiane.

After breakfast, visit the National Museum of Luang Prabang, where you can explore a fascinating collection of royal artifacts and cultural exhibits.

Next, you will journey to Kuang Si Waterfalls, located about 30 km from the city. The drive offers stunning views of the Laotian countryside, including rice paddies and ethnic minority villages. At the falls, enjoy the opportunity to swim in the cool, clear waters or hike to the top for panoramic views. Then, we cannot miss a visit to the Bear Rescue Center to see Asiatic Black Bears in their natural habitat.

After a picnic lunch, you're about to return to Luang Prabang and catch a flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Buddha Park

Activities: Visit the major sites in Vientiane including Wat Sisaket, Wat Ho Prakeo with Emerald Buddha statue and That Luang Stupa then the Buddha Park.

Begin your day with visits to Wat Sisaket, the oldest surviving temple in Vientiane, and Wat Ho Phra Keo, known for its impressive collection of Buddhist art. Next, we will see the iconic That Luang Stupa, a symbol of Lao nationalism.

In the afternoon, make your way to travel 25 km outside the city to Buddha Park, a fascinating collection of over 200 surreal statues created by a local monk. You can marvel at the eclectic mix of Hindu and Buddhist imagery, including a giant reclining Buddha and a sculpted pumpkin.

End your day with a return to Vientiane for a free evening to enjoy dinner, explore the city, and take in the sunset over the Mekong River.

Laos tour

Activities: Free time at your hotel then go to Vientiane airport for flying home.

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and take some time to explore Vientiane or relax before your journey home.

Our driver will pick you up approximately 2 hours before your departure flight and transfer you to the airport. This concludes your 5-day Laos adventure.
