Itinerary

 Activities: Arrive in Pakse and head to a tea plantation and waterfall in the Bolaven Plateau before settling for the night at Sinouk Coffee Resort.

Once you have arrived at Pakse airport, our guide will collect you and take you straight to the Bolaven Plateau, famous countrywide for its cooler temperatures and abundant nature. We stop at one of the region’s many picturesque tea plantations on the way to the magnificent duel falls of Tad Fane Waterfall.

After some time here we head to the Sinouk Coffee Resort, our stunning accommodation, for dinner and to spend the night in utter luxury while surrounded by the plateau’s amazing landscape.

 Meals:  Dinner

 Notes: Dinner is included today. Stay overnight in the Sinouk Coffee Resort.

 Activities: Cruising around the Bolaven Plateau by Jeep, exploring waterfalls, caves, volcanic mountains and learning of the coffee and cooking culture from Mr. Khamsone’s family.

09:00: After breakfast at the resort, we meet our Jeep expert, who will explain the itinerary for today over fresh coffee. Hop into the Jeep and cut through the jungle to Tad Moun Waterfall for a refreshing swim.
Then, we arrive at the coffee farm of the friendly Mr. Khamsone, who gives us a demonstration on coffee production and the unique qualities of Bolaven coffee. Enjoy a picnic lunch afterward.
In the afternoon, visit a nearby cave that sheltered villagers during the Laotian Civil War. Continue exploring the farm’s grounds, taking in the view of Phou Sanark (a volcanic mountain) and the sunset.
Assist Mr. Khamsone’s wife in preparing dinner and spend the night in a comfortable tent under the stars.

 Notes: Stay overnight at Mr. Khamsone’s family-run coffee farm.

 Activities: Discover the exotic lives of the Laven ethnic minority before picnic at a waterfall and the afternoon with the Suay hill tribe in their gorgeous village.

09:00: We'll depart to the village of B Setkhord, home to the colorful Laven Hill tribe. Here, we can explore the village and interact with tribe members to learn about their way of life.

In the afternoon, we will come to Tad Say Waterfall for a scenic picnic lunch surrounded by lush vegetation.

Then, we will drive to B Darisa, a Suay ethnic minority village, and explore their traditional houses made of wood, bamboo, and coconut leaves. Learn about their rice farming history and customs.

 Notes: Make your own arrangements for dinner and stay overnight in B Darisa.

 Activities: Taking a brief tour of ethnic villages before heading to a waterfall and Wat Phou, a UNESCO-recognised time capsule of ancient Khmer architecture and religion.

After breakfast, we will visit Tha Teng market, where hill tribe members do their business. You can explore the ethnic minority villages of Ban Bong Neua and Ban Kokphung to learn about the Alak and Katu hill tribes.

And then, we cannot miss stopping by Tad Phaxuam Waterfall before reaching Champasak for lunch.

From there, we will visit the magnificent Wat Phou, a 5th-century marvel of Khmer architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Afterward, we will explore Champasak and its French colonial architecture.

 Notes: Make your own arrangements for dinner and stay overnight in Champasak.

 Activities: Visiting the 4000 Islands and Khone Island in the Mekong River.

After breakfast, we will drive to the Laos-Cambodia border and take a long-tailed boat across the Mekong River to Khone Island.

Here, you can explore Ban Khone village by tuk-tuk, observing remnants of French colonial architecture.

After that, you can discover the 4000 Islands, created by the receding Mekong River, and visit Liphi Waterfall, also known as the "Corridor of the Devil". Here, we can keep an eye out for the rare Irrawaddy dolphin.

Then, you can enjoy free time to walk or cycle around the island and along the Mekong River, providing a perfect backdrop for a sunset.

 Notes: Make your own arrangements for dinner and stay overnight on Khone Island.

 Activities: Visiting Khone Phapheng’s waterfall and completing a half-day city tour of Pakse, including visits to two picturesque Buddhist temples.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Khone Phapheng, the largest waterfall by volume in Southeast Asia, located near the Cambodian border.

Here, you can enjoy the untarnished ecosystem and wildlife before heading back to Pakse.

Next, after you arrive in Pakse, you can check into the hotel. After lunch, you can visit Ban Khoh for stone carving, then you will head to Wat Chomphet, home to the largest sitting Buddha statue in Laos.

Next, you can climb to Wat Phou Salao for sunset, joining the golden Buddha statues watching over the town. Return to the hotel after sunset.

 Activities: Transferring to Pakse International Airport for your return or onwards flight.
