Vientiane to Luang Prabang Tour

Welcome to Laos! Upon arrival at Vientiane International Airport, our tour guide will greet you and take you to your hotel. Check-in is at 2:00 PM, but earlier check-in can be arranged with an additional fee. Enjoy your free time for the rest of the day.

Vientiane, also known as "The Sandalwood City," is the capital and largest city in Laos. It's famous for its French Colonial architecture and sits on the majestic Mekong River. Highlights include That Luang, the most significant national monument in Laos, and Haw Phra Kaew, a historic temple that once housed the Emerald Buddha. Overnight at your hotel in Vientiane.

After breakfast, we begin our day by visiting Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Vientiane, known for its 6,000 Buddha images. Then, we'll explore Haw Phra Kaew, a grand temple with stunning Buddha sculptures.

After a visit to a local market, we head to Phra That Luang Stupa, built in 1566 and considered a national symbol of Laos. We'll also see the Patuxai Monument, often called the "Victory Gate", which was inspired by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

In the late afternoon, we catch a flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel. The evening is free for your own activities. Overnight at your hotel in Luang Prabang.

Optional: Join a traditional Alms Giving Ceremony at 5:00 AM. (an extra cost will be provided upon request)

Rise early to witness or participate in the Alms Giving Ceremony where monks collect food offerings in a show of humility. Afterward, we'll visit Wat Visoun, an ancient temple, and Wat Mai, the largest and most beautifully decorated temple in Luang Prabang.

Next, we drive through scenic countryside to Kuang Si Waterfall. Along the way, we may stop at local villages, such as the Khmu minority village of Ban Thapaene. Once at the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall, take a refreshing dip and capture some photos.

We then climb Mount Phousi for a panoramic view of the city and the Mekong River at sunset. We’ll end the day by exploring the vibrant Night Market before returning to the hotel.

After breakfast, we visit Vat Xieng Thong, one of the largest and most ornate temples in Luang Prabang. Then, we take a 2-hour boat ride along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, filled with hundreds of Buddha statues.

On the way, we’ll stop at riverside villages, including Ban Xang Hai to learn about traditional Lao whiskey and wine-making. After lunch (self-arranged), we visit Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek, known for handmade Jute Sar paper. Return to Luang Prabang for an overnight stay.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and free time until your transfer to the airport. Plan to be ready about 3 hours before your flight.
